Programme Cancellation

Premiere Performances of Hong Kong announces the cancellation of Beare’s Premiere Music Festival 2021. In view of the current situation of COVID-19, with performance venues under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department closed until further notice, as well as continually-changing global travel and in-bound quarantine measures, the 2021 Beare’s Premiere Music Festival is unable to go on as planned.

Ticket holders can receive a refund (ticket value). All ticket holders should fill out the refund / ticket exchange form on or before 31 March 2021.

Premiere Performances would like to express its deepest gratitude to all participating artists, sponsors, collaborators, and ticket-buyers for their continued support of the Beare’s Premiere Music Festival, despite the pandemic.

Benjamin Appl (Gramophone Young Artist of the Year (2016) and BBC New Generation Artist (2014-16)) returns to Hong Kong after his celebrated début in 2018 to perform one of the greatest vocal works ever written, Schubert’s Winterreise.  He will partner with Shai Wosner on piano, considered a “Schubertian of unfaltering authority and character” (Gramophone Magazine).
