“A transformative presence in the arts.”
Gramophone on Joyce DiDoanto

Whether she was singing of nature’s consolations, turbulent love, or the combustive depredations of war, DiDonato was nothing less than spectacular…musicianship of the highest order.”

Following her immensely successful and sold-out production of “In War and Peace” in 2019, the operatic luminary Joyce DiDonato returns to Hong Kong with her new production “EDEN.”

“EDEN” is an awe-inspiring fusion of music, theatre, and movement. Featuring four centuries of music from Gluck, Handel, and Cavalli to Mahler, Ives, and a new composition by Oscar-winning composer Rachel Portman, this production is a resounding proclamation of hope. It exalts the grandeur, strength, and enigmatic beauty of Nature, while harnessing the transformative power of music to forge connections.

Joyce DiDonato will be joined by her long-time ensemble partner il Pomo d’Oro, and conductor Zefira Valova. Together, they present this profound production to the audiences in Hong Kong, delivering an uplifting message amidst turbulent times. Prepare to be transported on a journey that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit through the harmonious tapestry of “EDEN.”
