Turkish rising-star cellist Jamal Aliyev finally makes his Hong Kong debut with this spicy and heartfelt recital programme!
Jamal Aliyev is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after cellists of his generation. Since his solo debut at the BBC Proms in 2017, the young cellist has been invited as a soloist and in recitals around Europe to rave reviews. Hugely popular in Turkey, the cellist has given recitals with composer Fazil Say, and has performed concertos with various well-known orchestras in his home country.
As a centrepiece of his recital, Jamal Aliyev will be performing the captivating Fazil Say Sonata inspired by four Turkish cities.
